【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethoddescribesaquantitativedeterminationoftheconcentrationofpolychlorinatedbiphenyls(PCBs)inelectricalinsulatingliquidsbygaschromatography.ItalsoappliestothedeterminationofPCBpresentinmixturesknownasaskarels,usedaselectricalinsulatingliquids.1.2ThePCBmixturesknownasAroclorswereusedintheformulationofthePCB-containingaskarelsmanufacturedintheUnitedStates.ThistestmethodmaybeappliedtothedeterminationofPCBsininsulatingliquidscontaminatedbyeitherindividualAroclorsormixturesofAroclors.ThistechniquemaynotbeapplicabletothedeterminationofPCBsfromothersourcesofcontamination.1.3TheprecisionandbiasofthistestmethodhavebeenestablishedonlyforPCBconcentrationsinelectricalinsulatingmineraloilsandsilicones.Theuseofthistestmethodhasnotbeendemonstratedforallinsulatingfluids.Someinsulatingliquids,suchashalogenatedhydrocarbons,interferewiththedetectionofPCBsandcannotbetestedwithoutpretreatment.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
