【摘要】:Asphaltenesarenaturallyoccurringmaterialsincrudepetroleumandpetroleumproductscontainingresidualmaterial.Theasphaltenesareusuallypresentincolloidalsuspensions,buttheymayagglomerateandflocculateifthesuspensionofasphaltenemoleculesisdisturbedthroughexcessstressorincompatibility.Thistestmethodprovidescompatibilityparameters,whichcanbeusedtoassessstabilityreserveandcompatibility.Ablendisconsideredstablewhentheblendx2019;speptizingpowerishigherthantheblendx2019;smaximumflocculationratio;,bothofthemcanbecalculatedusingempiricalblendrules.Refineriesandterminalownerscanpreventtheflocculationofasphaltenesduetoincompatibilitybyassessingthecompatibilityoffuelsbeforehand.Note48212;SeeAppendixX1foranexampleofpredictionofcompatibility.1.1Thistestmethodcoversaprocedureforquantifyingthemaximumflocculationratiooftheasphaltenesintheoilandthepeptizingpoweroftheoilmedium,byanautomaticinstrumentusinganopticaldevice.1.2Thistestmethodisapplicabletoatmosphericorvacuumdistillationresidues,thermallycrackedresidue,intermediateandfinishedresidualfueloils,containingatleast1mass%asphaltenes.Thistestmethodhasnotbeendevelopedforasphalts.Note18212;Anopticalprobedetectstheformationofflocculatedasphaltenes.Thestartofflocculationisinterpretedwhenasignificantandsustainedincreaseinrate-of-changeofsignal,asmeasuredbytheopticalprobe,ensuresflocculationisinprogress.Thestartofflocculationcanbedetectedunambiguouslywhenthesamplecontainsatleast1%massasphaltenesasmeasuredbyTestMethodD6560.Note28212;ThistestmethodisapplicabletoproductstypicalofSpecificationD396x2014;Grades5L,5H,and6,andSpecificationD2880x2014;Grades3-GTand4-GT.1.3Thistestmethodwasevaluatedinaninterlaboratorystudyinthenominalrangeof32to76forthemaximumflocculationratioandinthenominalrangeof36to95forpeptizingpower.Note38212;Thenominalrangeisdeterminedby(min.samplemeanx2014;Reproducibility)to(max.samplemean+Reproducibility).1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
